SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE dan LATIHAN SOAL

APA ITU SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE?
Simple Present Tense adalah tenses atau bentuk kalimat dalam bahasa inggris yang digunakan untuk menyatakan:
1. Fakta pada masa lampau ,sekarang dan mendatang.
2. Kegiatan yang dilakukan secara berulang- ulang atau menjadi kebiasaan
3. Kebenaran umum, sesuatu yang tidak dapat kita sangkal kebenarannya

JENIS
Ada dua bentuk kalimat Simple Present Tense :
1. Simple Present Tense Using Verb (kalimat verbal) karena predikatnya menggunakan kata kerja / verb
2. Simple Present Tense Using To Be (kalimat nominal) karena predikatnya menggunakan To Be. Disini To Be yang digunakan adalah To Be Present yaitu is, am dan are.

RUMUS
1. Simple Present Using Verb
 The pattern: Subject + Verb 1 + Object
 Jika Subject : He, She, It ------maka  Verb + s/es
 Contoh : Andhika takes a piano course on Saturday.
                She writes a short story on the week end
Jika Subject : They, We, I and You-----maka Verb 1 (infinitive) tanpa tambahan s/es.
Contoh : Ari and his friend play football on Sunday.
               They study English on Monday.
2. Simple Present Using To Be
The pattern: Subject + To Be + Complement ( Adjective, Noun, Adverb)
Jika Subject: He, She, It  menggunakan To Be ------is
                      I   menggunakan To Be--------am
                      They, We, You  menggunakan  To Be------are

 Keterangan waktu yang biasa digunakan dalam Simple Present Tense

Everyday : Setiap hari
Every Sunday : Setiap minggu
Every night : Setiap malam
Every morning : Setiap pagi
On Sunday : pada hari minggu
At night : pada malam hari
At noon : Pada siang hari
Every month : setiap bulan
Every year : Setiap tahun
In the afternoon : Pada sore hari

Intensifiers :
always : selalu
seldom : jarang
never : tak pernah
rarely : jarang , hampir tak pernah
sometimes : kadang - kadang
usually : biasanya
twice a day : dua kali sehari
once a month : sekali sebulan
