I strongly believe that mobile phones are necessary. My reason for this belief are that these phones are convenient for bussiness people who travel a lot, and they are handy for emergencies.

To begin with, mobile phones are necessary in the case of emergencies. For instance, if you fall down a set of stairs in buildinng and are badly injured and can't reach a pay phone, it is handy to have one to use. Or, if your car breaks downin the middle of the night i a strange neighbourhood, it would be dangerous to leave it in search of public phone booth.

My other main reason is that mobile phones are convenient for business people.For example,if you are out of the state or even overseas and you have to contact a client to do some important works, it is useful to have one to use. by using a mobile phone, important information can be received. People can't stay in an office all day waiting fortheir phone to ring. Some people have to go and do jobsor they will go out of business. You can even sent faxes or messages and use the internet with your phone.

In conclusion, I believe that mobile phones have now become a necessary part of everyday life. Instant communicationwill ensure that informationcan be passed on with a simple press of a button. Whether this is to do withbusiness or personal inormation or emergencies, it goes to show that they are really needed

SONG - Materi Bahasa Inggris

Ketemu lagi guys, kali ini kita akan membahas atau tepatnya belajar tentang materi lagu dalam bahasa inggris. Materi song biasanya kita jumpai pada pelajaran jenjang SMA/MA. Tapi tidak ada salahnya untuk mengetahui materi song meskipun diantara kalian masih belajar ditingkat kelas lebih rendah. Song adalah salah satu media belajar bahasa inggris yang efektif dan menyenangkan. Jika kalian ingin mempelajari bahasa inggris, ingin meningkatkan vocabulary atau kosakata kalian dalam bahasa inggris bisa jadi song adalah cara yang tepat.

Dalam pembelajaran di kelas, Song akan menjadi materi yang menyenangkan apalagi jika dikombinasikan dengan metode pembelajaran yang beragam serta didukung dengan penggunaan teknologi saat ini. Sebagai contoh penggunaan lyricstraining, pada akhir pembahasan akan penulis sertakan latihan tentang Song dengan menggunakan lyricstraining yang bisa digunakan dalam kelas anda.

What is song?
Song is musical composition which are formed from tone, voice and instruments that unite and has a message to convey through beautiful sound.
Jadi,singkatnya lagu adalah komposisi musik yang terbentuk dari kombinasi suara dan instrument musik serta memiliki pesan untuk disampaikan.
Jenis Song / lagu banyak sekali ada dangdut, balada, rock, pop, dll.

The social function atau tujuan dari teks Song adalah:

1. To entertain the listeners through beautiful sound
2. To convey a message or moral value through the lyrics
3. To express personal feeling, it can be happiness, sadness, fear, love, etc.
4. To criticize particular situation

The generic structures of song :

1. Intro : It contain only music with no words ( bagian awal lagu yang hanya terdengar suara instrumennya saja )
2. Verse / Stanza : this part has same melody but different lyric
3. Chorus : this part has same melody and lyric
4. Bridge : this part has a different melody and lyrics from any other section
5. Outro / Coda : The end of the song, usually contains instrument only.

Stanzas contain lyrics. Lyrics are the words of the song and they are set to music. Lyrics are written in a specific way for specific reasons.

Jadi, lirik adalah kata-kata dalam lagu yang telah disesuaikan dengan musik. Lirik ditulis dengan cara dan tujuan tertentu.

Ciri kebahasaan  / Language features of song :

1.  Diction ( pilihan kata ) : It defined as the choice and use of words. The writer usually use particular dictions to make the song more attractive and beautiful to heard.

Diksi merupakan pilihan kata atau frasa yanng digunakan oleh  penulis lagu. Penulis biasanya menggunakan kata - kata tertentu untuk membuat lagu terdengar lebih menarik dan indah.

Contoh kata informal yang digunakan dalam bahasa lagu seperti : gonna, ain't, wanna, dan gotta.

 2.  Rhyme ( Rima ) : repetition of similar / same sounds not letters at the end syllable of lines in song.

Rima adalah pengulangan bunyi yang sama atau hampir sama pada akhir suku kata pada tiap larik lagu.

3.  Figurative Language / Figurative of speech ( majas )

It is a word or words  that is / are used to create an effect or just to beautify, often they do not have original meaning as stated. 

Kata yang digunakan untuk menimbulkan suatu efek atau kesan tertentu atau untuk memperindah, seringkali memiliki makna kiasan.

• Simile : a figurative speech in which one thing is compared with another thing using like or as. Sebuah majas yang memperbandingkan sesuatu dengan sesuatu yang lain. Biasanya menggunakan kata like dan as yang dapat diartikan  'bak', 'layaknya', 'seperti'
• Metaphor : a figurative speech in which one thing is considered same with another thing, hampir sama dengan Simile tapi biasanya tanpa menggunakan like dan as.
• Personification : a figurative speech in which a non-human object is treat as human. Majas dimana memperlakukan benda mati layaknya manusia.
• Hyperbole : a figurative speech in which uses an extravagant statement to express strong feelings. Majas dimana menggunakan pernyataan / bahasa yang berlebihan.

Procedure text termasuk dalam salah satu genre text dalam bahasa inggris. Meskipun dalam bahasa indonesia kita juga jumpai teks ini.Bagi banyak orang terutama pelajar, procedure text bukanlah hal baru, namun bagi yang belum mengetahui apa itu text procedure mari kita belajar bersama. 

Procedure text is a kind of text about how to do something, or how something is accomplished. Maksudnya, teks procedur adalah sejenis teks yang memandu kita bagaimana melakukan sesuatu atau bagaimana sesuatu diselesaikan.
Procedure text bisa berbentuk recipe ( resep ), tips ( tip atau kiat- kiat ), manual ( buku panduan ).

The purpose of Procedure text is to describe how something is made or done through a sequence of steps or actions. Atau dengan kata lain teks procedure bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan bagaimana sesuatu dibuat atau diselesaikan melalui serangkaian langkah atau tindakan.

Generic structure atau susunan dalam teks procedure adalah :

1. Goal, biasanya dalam bentuk judul ( title ) : merupakan tujuan dari teks procedure ( the purpose of procedure text
2. Materials or ingredients : bahan-bahan atau segala sesuatu yang diperlukan untuk proses pembuatan ( things are needed to make something ). Tetapi tidak semua teks procedure membutuhkan material / bahan-bahan. contohny dalam teks procedure berbentuk tips atau manual.
3. Steps or directions : langkah-langkah / petunjuk pembuatan atau penyelesaian sesuatu ( any steps  or actions / methods which are used to make or finish something.

Ciri- ciri kebahasaan atau language features of procedure text :

1. Penggunaan imperative sentences / kalimat perintah, Contoh : boil the water, chop the vegetables
2. Penggunaan conjunctions dan time connectors seperti : first, second, then , after that, next, finally,etc. contoh : first, crack the eggs
3. penggunaan kata teknis seperti: panggang, tumis, microwave, putar, dll.

How to make Banana Muffin

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder 

1 tsp baking soda

1/2p salt

3 large bananas , mashed

3/4 cup white sugar 

1 egg

1/3 cup butter , melted

Steps :

1. Preheat oven to 170 C. Coat muffin pans with non-sticky spray, or use paper liners. Sift together the flour , baking powder , baking soda, and salt.Set aside.
2. Combine bananas, sugar , egg, and melted butter in a large bowl. Fold in flour mixture, and mix until smooth. Fill in the muffin pans.
3. Bake in preheated oven. Bake mini muffins for 10 to 15 minutes, and large muffins for 25 to 30 minutes. Muffins will spring back when lightly tapped.
